New Photos Listed

I listed a couple of new photo prints on my Etsy shop today.
They are winter scenes and I thought they would be appropriate for this time of the year. Very pretty pics-they make me forget how cold and yucky winter can be! LOL! I hope you enjoy them. If you have any questions or requests, you can always contact me by email or leave a comment on this post.

Thanks for looking!

Photo Enhancement-let me explain

Let me explain and show you what I mean when I say photo enhancement. What I want to offer you here is the opportunity to take your own photos and add a few extra touches to them so that they look like a professional took them. Now, I'm not saying your photography skills are not that of a pro, but I'm also not saying that I can make your skills improve that much. ; ) But, what I am saying is that we all have a nice photo at home that we took of the kids, of our pets, of our family, or maybe of our flower beds. It's a good photo and we like it, but before we blow it up, frame it, and hang it on the wall, we wish we could add something speical to it. We think about the pictures we have purchased from the professional photographer and how they had that look. The special frame to the photo, the vintage sepia tint or black and white color of it, the kind of cloudy look to the background that makes the subject really stand out. Well, this is what I want to do for you!
Send me a full size file of your image. Either in an email or on a CD. Then I will take that photo and add those special touches to it. Those neat, cool, fancy little touches that you want on your photo. Then I will put the full size image file on a CD for you and give you your photo back to do with as you wish. After all, it is your photo. You can print it out, have it blown up and framed, or post it to your blog or website.
As I mentioned in the sidebar on this blog; what is done to the photo is up to you. Maybe it just needs a color touch up or a little lightening up. I can do that. Or, maybe you want it to really stand out as a special vintage looking shot. Or, maybe you want a grungy and fun look to it. If you have an idea, I will try to follow that idea to my best abilities. But, if you don't have any ideas, I can use my own creativity and see what I come up with. That is, of course, up to you.
Of course, I would appreciate being given credit for the work on your photo. Especially if you really like how it turned out. Word of mouth is one of the best selling tools! I hope that my customers will be returning customers and will also be telling their friends and family about my service.
Please email me if you are interested in this service. We can discuss rates at that time also.

Here are a few examples of what can be done with photos. There are A LOT more options, but these are a couple of examples.

Here is an example of a photo that was given a very vintage look. This is my grandniece. First, I cropped out her mom's legs as much as I could in the background. This really puts the focus on the little girl. Then I gave it a sepia color tone. Then I did some hand tinting. Making her cheeks a little pinker. It's reminiscent of the photos from the 20's. Very cute, very fun, and very beautiful hanging on the wall!

The following techniques is one my favorites! We've all seen those photos where it is all black and white with one item still in color. Isn't that a wow look? I can do this for you too. This may not work for all photos, but most of the time it will.

Again, this is just two things that can be done. There are a lot of options for your photos. I also have more examples if you need to see them.
Remember, if you have questions, you can email me at posdesigns@gmail.com or leave a comment on this or any post.

Marking my Spot

Hello all! This is my new blog for my new "business" Piece of Scrap Designs. I am just getting all things set up, including this blog, an etsy site, and other various things. I plan to use this blog to showcase my new items, new projects, and new ideas! I still have my other personal blog at posscrapping.blogspot.com and I will talk about everyday life, scrapping, and other nonsense on that blog. This one will be mostly for the business side of things. Please join me on my new journey. It may be slow at first as I get everything started and up to par. But, please bear with me and keep checking back!
